How can we register our marriage and get a certificate?
I’m an Indian citizen living in Punjab, India whereas my partner is an Australian citizen, parents living in Pune-India. How can we proceed for a marriage certificate? And where can we get a marriage certificate registered?
Sir, your marriage may be conducted under the Special Marriage Act, 1954, in India by submitting a notice of the intended marriage at least 30 days prior to the planned date of the marriage. After the notice period, the marriage can be solemnized in the presence of both parties.
