How marriage registration is performed?

I am a Nepali national married to an Indian national who is a resident of Bihar. I would like to know the process for marriage registration. Where can it be done, and what documents are required?

Dear client, The marriage is usually registered in Bihar where either spouse lives. Submit passport/Nepali citizenship proof, spouse's ID, address proof, age proof, marriage proof, photos and 2-3 witnesses at the offices of the Marriage Registrar/Sub-Registrar. If not married, the Special Marriage Act, 1954 may apply. If you have any query please feel free to contact us.
