How to register foreign online marriage in India legally?
I am a U.S. citizen residing in the United States. I married an Indian citizen living in Delhi in an online ceremony in the U.S. We have a U.S. marriage certificate. Kindly advise how we can register our marriage in India.

You can register your U.S. marriage under Section 17 of the Foreign Marriage Act, 1969, or re-register it under the Special Marriage Act in India. Approach the Registrar of Marriages in Delhi with your original U.S. marriage certificate, apostilled documents, ID/address proof, and passport copies. An affidavit may also be required.
