Does the bike owner need to appear in court with me?

I have a case under Section 336 for a wrong route. The bike is not transferred to my name, so the police sent a notice to the owner under Section 180. Is it necessary for the owner to appear in court with me? The owner is 64 years old and cannot travel from another place.

In your case, the bike owner may not need to appear in court if they are unable to travel. They can authorize you through a written power of attorney or affidavit. You can request the court to allow you to represent them by stating the bike’s ownership situation and consult a lawyer for detailed advice on handling the case.
