What action can I take if water and power are disconnected?

Hello Sir/Madam, I have been residing in an apartment for the last seven years in Bangalore, and I have been paying the maintenance amount regularly every month. The maintenance amount is ₹3750. However, this month the association is demanding an additional ₹2000 per flat for water. Since I am the only resident in the flat and my water consumption is not the same as others, I have refused to pay the additional ₹2000. The association is now threatening to disconnect my water and power supply if I don’t pay the maintenance. What action can I take if they disconnect my water and power?

If the association disconnects your water and power supply over maintenance charges, you can file a complaint with the Consumer Forum for unfair practices and seek damages. As per the law, they cannot arbitrarily cut essential supplies without legal procedures. Consult a lawyer for proper legal actions. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
