What can I do if my tenant refuses to vacate property?

My tenant in Hyderabad is not vacating my house despite my sending an eviction notice with a 2-month notice period. At the end of the second month, she filed an injunction notice in the Junior Civil Court. We did not receive the injunction notice physically and have no idea on what basis she filed it. I want to sell my house as I need to pay for my son's college fees in the States and have many other financial issues, but she is not vacating the house. How should I handle this situation?

Since you served an eviction notice and the tenant has filed an injunction, it’s crucial to challenge this in court. The tenant must provide legal grounds for her claim. You can file a petition in the court to proceed with eviction and explain your urgency to sell the house due to financial issues. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
