What legal action can be taken against breach Of contract?

I gave my friend ₹20,000 to recover my losses, and he promised to convert it into ₹60,000 within a month using intraday trading. Now, after a month, he is denying to give me the ₹60,000 and says he will only return ₹20,000. There was no formal contract or agreement; everything was done through WhatsApp chats. I have transaction history and chat records. What can I do?

Since there was no formal agreement, you can file a civil suit for recovery of money, supported by WhatsApp chats and transaction records. You should approach a lawyer to draft a legal notice to the friend. If he refuses, you can file a case in a civil court to recover your ₹60,000.
