What legal action can be taken for forced family interference?

I am having an affair with a married man who is trying to get a divorce, but his wife is not willing to give one. We decided to live together, leaving everything behind, so I ran away from my family. Now, my family is trying to force me to return home. What kind of complaint can I file against my family for their forcible actions, as I do not wish to return? Also, since he has a government job, what complaints can my family or his family files against him for this situation? What charges could be applied to both of us, and what can we do against our families for living together?

Ma’am, if your family is trying to force you to return or restricting your freedom, you can file a complaint for mental harassment. As for the affair, while adultery is no longer a criminal offense so it could impact divorce proceedings. It is advised to consult an expert lawyer who will assist you with the best course of actions. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
