Why cannot I use fictional names on printed merchandise?

I’m thinking of designing products for Teespring or Redbubble and promoting them on Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube. Can I use references from others’ works? For example, can I print "Camp Half Blood" (from Percy Jackson) or "221B" (from Sherlock Holmes) on a product? I’m an Indian resident, but the products will mainly be sold to Americans and others. Would this violate any laws?

Using references from copyrighted works like "Camp Half Blood" or "221B" without permission can result in copyright infringement. Even if you are targeting international markets, the law protects creators worldwide. To avoid legal issues, seek licensing or permission from the copyright holders before using such references for your designs. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
