Can I challenge an incorrect transfer option selected during online counselling?
I am Assistant Professor of History. During the online counselling for the Public Interest Transfer 2025–26, I accidentally selected Koppa College as my first preference while choosing my transfer location. I immediately requested that my preference be changed to Sagar, but my request was not accepted. I believe this has caused me an injustice. What legal remedy is available to me?
If the incorrect option was selected due to a genuine mistake during the online counselling process, immediately submit a written representation to the concerned transfer authority explaining the error and requesting correction. If your request is rejected despite applicable rules permitting correction or if the decision is arbitrary, you may challenge it before the appropriate administrative authority or the High Court, depending on the circumstances.
