How can we recover rent receipts and security deposit urgently?

Party A (tenant) and Party B (flat owner) entered into a Leave and License agreement in 2017 for two years. The lease expired in December 2018. Although both parties wanted to renew the agreement, a new one wasn't signed. Party A continued paying rent until August 2023, which Party B accepted. Party A emailed Party B on August 31, 2023, requesting rent receipts and the refundable security deposit. However, Party B hasn't responded. We need to file a suit to get rent receipts and recover the refundable security deposit urgently.

Since Party B hasn't responded to Party A’s request for rent receipts and security deposit, you should send a formal legal notice. If there’s no response, you can file a suit in the court for the recovery of both rent receipts and the security deposit. A lawyer can assist with drafting and filing the suit.
