How to expedite fake SC/ST case delayed for years?

I bought an old house from a Muslim woman through a bank loan. Later, a person from a Scheduled Caste (SC) filed a case in the SC/ST court using a fake agreement. The respondents have submitted statements proving that the agreement is fake. After three years, the buyer passed away due to health issues. More than 5 years have passed now. All of us have lawyers, but nothing is moving forward. The judge keeps adjourning the case without hearing it. Is there any legal provision to prioritize such a case and ensure a timely judgment? Please suggest.

You can file an application under Section 151 CPC or write to the High Court’s administrative judge or Chief Justice seeking fast-track or priority hearing. Since it’s delayed for over 5 years and the case involves fraud and a deceased party, you can also request a time-bound disposal. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
