What are my rights if my husband’s property is disputed?

My husband has had an alcohol addiction for 24 years, even before our marriage, and he is narcissistic. His father’s property is in the names of two sons. They are now rebuilding six houses on the same property under their joint names. I requested joint registration for my husband’s share, but he outrightly refused and won’t tell me why. The relationship between him and his brother has never been good, so I am concerned about what will happen to me and my child if my husband dies due to his deteriorating health condition. He has no answer to this. What is my eligibility or right in this matter? What should be my next step to get the share or to make it joint? Thank you.
