How to unfreeze bank account?
Two months ago, the bank imposed a lien/hold of ₹2,000 on my SBI bank account. About 15 days ago, they again placed a hold of ₹15,000 on my account. Despite multiple visits to my SBI home branch, I was advised to approach the cyber cell. However, the cyber cell is also not helping resolve the issue. What legal steps can I take to get my account unfreezed? If I take help from a leading law firm, what charges may apply?
Dear Client, if your account is freezed, then first check for the reasons which has led to this. Common reasons that can freeze the account include KYC non- compliance, suspicious transaction activities, the legal orders or the minimum balance requirement issues faced by the account. To unfreeze it, contact the bank authorities immediately and submit the required documents to unfreeze it such as the updated KYC which includes ID, address proof etc, or the transaction clarifications. If the account is freeze due to legal orders, then comply with the authorities or obtain a court order for better resolution. once the bank verifies the documents; the account is generally reactivated within a few days. I hope this helps and if you have any further issues do not hesitate to contact us.
