What should I do after receiving a trademark rejection notice?
I applied for a trademark online by myself, responded to the examination reports regarding similar/identical clauses, and attended the hearing when required. The hearings went well, and the examiner seemed convinced. He said he would accept the application, and the mark would be registered with restricted jurisdiction (applicable in a few mentioned states only). However, a few days later, I received a rejection notice. What should I do now?
You can file an appeal against the trademark rejection with the Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB). You should review the reasons for rejection and submit additional evidence or arguments to support your application. You can also request a review or amend the application based on the examiner's concerns. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
