I want to file for divorce from my wife under the Hindu Marriage Act.

You can file for divorce under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act on grounds like cruelty, desertion, etc. If both of you agree, file a mutual consent divorce under Section 13B, but only after living separately for 1 year.
