नाम अलग होने पर क्या BPSC DV में समस्या होगी?

In my 10th certificate, the name is “X KUMARI” (my nickname), but in my 12th and graduation certificates, the name is “Y KUMARI” (my official name). Will BPSC reject me during document verification? What should I do?

Dear Client, Different names in the documents can attract scrutiny, but will not always be a cause for rejection. The first step you could take is to get a notarised affidavit stating that both names are yours and that there is a mistake in the spelling. Also, publish a gazette notification to declare that both the names are yours. Also ensure to change the name in the aadhar card and all other documents in a uniform manner to avoid future difficulties. I hope this was helpful. BPSC generally does not reject a candidate for minor name differences, but they ask for proof that both names belong to the same person. You should make an affidavit declaring that “X Kumari” and “Y Kumari” are the same person. Along with this, get a gazette notification for name correction. Carry both documents during document verification, this resolves the issue smoothly. For further legal assistance, contact us on our helpline number.
