What is cost of legal notice?

Can someone kindly enlighten me with complete details on "legal notice"? How much should it typically cost? I have no appetite left to burn serious money on lawyers as the trust factor has depleted almost completely with the thuggery that I have been subject to. Can it be sent without me visiting a lawyer's office? Can I write a detailed letter to the recipient myself? How does the strength and seriousness of documentation compare between a simple letter from me and a legal notice? What are the other choices that one has for documentation? Can I get my letter notarized or stamped, if allowed?

Sending a legal notice in India typically costs between ₹500 and ₹5,000, depending on complexity and lawyer's fees. You can draft and send it yourself, but consulting a lawyer ensures legal accuracy. Notarizing or stamping a personal letter can add formality but doesn't equate to a legal notice. For serious matters, a lawyer's assistance is advisable.
