Lodge owner’s legal protection if crime occurs in hotel rooms?

I am a lodge owner. Many guests stay in my lodge, most of whom are unmarried. What is the law to protect lodge owners if any crime occurs in the hotel rooms, such as rape, video recording during sex, or other incidents?

As a lodge owner, maintain proper guest records (ID proof, registration). You’re not responsible unless negligence is proven. If a crime occurs, cooperate with police investigations and consult a lawyer to understand your legal obligations. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
