What can I do if blackmailed with private recordings?

I work in a private company near Magadi NICE Road, Bangalore. I had an affair with a girl who also worked with me. For the past month, her ex-boyfriend has been blackmailing us through WhatsApp messages and calls. He has our personal chats and call recordings. We have already paid him ₹2–2.5 lakhs. He keeps asking for money from different numbers and threatens to share our private details with my family, colleagues, and on social media if we don’t pay. What should we do?

You should immediately file a complaint at the nearest cybercrime police station or online at cybercrime.gov.in. Blackmail, threats, and sharing private content without consent are serious crimes under Indian law. Keep all evidence (chats, call recordings, payment proofs).  For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
