What to do if a child faces abuse by parents?
I am a 16 years old girl and I am suffering from regular domestic violence. My father is a characterless creep who click’s my pictures and distribute among his friends and my mother is having multiple affairs. They moved me when I was child to my grandparents where an uncle tried to abuse me. There are multiple cases which I can't illustrate here. I feel unsafe and don’t want to have any means of communication. In this regard please help me with the following questions: Can I stay alone while claiming maintenance from them Is there any way to make sure they or any of their known people don't try to harass me. If I stay in a government house can I use internet to complete my studies through distance education or any nearby colleges After I turn 18, how soon can I leave such a government home. I don’t have any means to pay any lawyer. How do I contact and file the case? It will be of great help if an urgent help is provided. Thank you.
As a 16-year-old facing abuse, you can seek protection under the POCSO Act and the Juvenile Justice Act. Contact Childline 1098 or the Child Welfare Committee to be moved to a safe shelter.
