What to do if cyber complaint is filed against me?

Unknown people asked me to subscribe to a YouTube channel, promising to give me ₹117 in return. After that, they said they would provide a job where I would receive daily payments to my account. They also gave me the UPI ID of a person who subscribed to the YouTube channel, and I was asked to make online payments to these people. I followed their instructions for about three days. Later, ₹5,000 was credited to my account, but the next day, a lien of ₹5,000 was placed on it. When I contacted the person who had complained, he said he was talking to someone from a Telegram group. The Telegram group members had asked him to send money to my account. I was unaware of this Telegram scam. He has withdrawn the complaint, but the police are not removing it.

File an FIR for online fraud at the nearest police station, providing transaction proofs and details of the Telegram group. You can also approach the cybercrime cell for faster investigation. If necessary, seek legal help to ensure proper investigation and recovery of funds. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
