According to Indian law, it is illegal to hold both an Indian and foreign passport simultaneously - once you acquire foreign citizenship, you must surrender your Indian passport within 3 months. While traveling to India during this transition period, you should carry both passports and documentation showing when foreign citizenship was acquired. You must apply for an OCI card or visa for future India travel after surrendering the Indian passport.

Dual citizenship is not allowed in India. Upon acquiring a foreign citizenship, your indian citizenship automatically terminates under Section 9 of the Citizenship Act 1955. Therefore, your Indian passport becomes invalid after obtaining a foreign passport. Apply for OCI or Entry Visa for future travel to India and surrender your Indian passport to Indian embassy to avoid any penalties or punishment under Indian Passports Act 1967.

According to the Indian Citizenship Act, 1955, dual citizenship is not allowed in India. This means that once you acquire a foreign passport, you are required to surrender your Indian passport immediately. Contact us for further enquiry.
