Can we marry in Delhi and register in West Bengal?
My wife and I are residents of West Bengal, but we want to get married in Delhi or Ghaziabad because we heard that a marriage certificate is issued within 3 days there. Is this true? If we do a court marriage in Delhi or UP, can we register the marriage again in West Bengal?

Yes, you can get married in Delhi or UP, even if you live in West Bengal. However, at least one of you must provide 30 days’ address proof in that area.
