How to apply for marriage certificate?
I am from West Bengal and currently working in Kuwait. My girlfriend is from Nepal. I would like to know the process to obtain a marriage certificate and how many days it will take.

You can marry your Nepali girlfriend in India under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. Both of you must be physically present in India for at least 30 days before giving notice at the Marriage Registrar’s office. Required documents include passport, visa, address proof, birth proof, marital status certificate, and photos. After 30 days’ notice, marriage is registered in 1–2 days.
