What can I do if both families oppose our court marriage?
I want to marry my boyfriend through court marriage, but both our families are opposing it because we belong to different castes. My parents have even created a legal bond to forcefully end our relationship. I don't know what to do. Please guide me.

You can marry legally under the Special Marriage Act without parental consent. If facing threats or force, approach the police or women’s helpline and seek legal protection from the court. Family bonds or agreements forcing breakup are not legally valid. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
