Can I apply for EWS if property is in grandmother’s name?
Can I apply for EWS if the property (250 sq yards) is in my deceased grandmother's name and not in my father's name?
Dear client In order to apply for an EWS (Economically Weaker Section) Certificate, your family's property must be below a particular amount before you can apply for a certificate. If the property is still under your late Grandmother's name, then the title must change into your father's or one of the other legal heirs names before you are eligible for an EWS Certificate. Please ensure that you have all of the applicable documents including proof of the change in title of the property, proof of income, etc., available when you apply for EWS status.
