Can I legally reclaim house lost due to unpaid loan?

In 2017, I bought a house from a person for ₹17 lakhs. He had a ₹10 lakh home loan in his name. I paid him ₹7 lakhs and agreed to pay EMIs. After a few payments, he stopped transferring my payments to the bank. The bank took possession under the SARFAESI Act. Now he isn’t responding, and the bank also refused to take further payments. Can I take legal action to get my house back?

You can file a civil case for fraud and cheating against the seller since he took money and didn't pay the bank loan. Also, you may claim compensation or recovery of the ₹7 lakhs. Show all payment proof and agreements. You may also file a police complaint for breach of trust. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
