Dear Client, To obtain a Legal Heir Certificate, apply at the District Collector’s office in Kallakurichi with the death certificate, succession documents, and affidavits from all legal heirs. After verification, the certificate will be issued. You can then apply for mutation of land records and establish title to the property. For selling inherited land, all legal heirs generally must sign the sale deed, unless the property has first been divided through a partition deed. Dear Client, You can get a legal heir certificate by submitting an application to the Tahluk office or by filing a petition to the District court. You will need to submit your identity cards, along with the death certificate and the identity proof of the deceased. You will have to include yourself and your two sons as legal heirs of your wife.
