How to remove brother’s name from flat registry legally?

At the time of purchasing my flat, due to a lower CTC, I included my brother as a co-owner. Now, I wish to remove his name from the property registry, and he has given his consent. What is the legal procedure to do this? Also, how can I find a suitable lawyer to handle this process?

You can remove your brother’s name by executing a relinquishment deed or gift deed with his consent. The deed must be registered at the sub-registrar’s office. Hire a property lawyer for drafting and registration. You can find lawyers through online platforms, local bar associations, or legal service websites.
