When appealing from District Court exercising original jurisdiction, the first appeal lies to the High Court under Section 96 CPC and the entire evidence can be reappraised, while appealing against appellate orders of District Court (exercising appellate jurisdiction), the second appeal to High Court under Section 100 CPC is only maintainable on substantial questions of law with prior formulation of such questions, and the High Court cannot interfere with concurrent findings of fact.
