What to do if blackmailed with private photo online?

There is a guy who has my photo from the Grindr app. He is threatening me to pay ₹2000, or he will share my photo and tell everyone that I am gay, including people in my area. What should I do?

This is a clear case of blackmail and cybercrime. Don’t pay the money. Save all chats, screenshots, and report the person to the Cyber Cell of your city. File a police complaint under IT Act sections. Your identity will be protected, and the law can take strict action against the blackmailer.
