Wrongfully convicted in accident case. What can I do?

An accident was caused by my driver, but he ran away from the police station. The car is registered in my wife’s name, but to protect her (as she has asthma and other health issues), I took the blame. There is only one witness, who is actually the culprit but is now the witness. I was sentenced to 18 months but deposited ₹4 lakhs in court. I’m still facing the case in MACT. I’m 67, diabetic, and have eye issues. What should I do now?

Since you have already deposited ₹4 lakhs and are still facing a case, you can apply for bail or sentence suspension on health and humanitarian grounds. If the driver was the real culprit, file a review or appeal. A senior criminal lawyer can help challenge the conviction and present medical and factual evidence.
