What legal action can be taken against agreement breach?

On November 5, 2023, we entered into an agreement for the A2Z Medicals and Surgical Pharmacy franchise unit, along with a payment of Rs. 5,50,000. As per our agreement, the franchisor was supposed to establish the outlet within 45 days. However, there has been a delay, and the outlet has not yet been set up. Despite my attempts to contact them via calls, text messages, and WhatsApp, I haven’t received any response. This lack of communication is concerning and reflects dishonesty and negligence. Since there has been no progress and they’ve been unresponsive, I am requesting a refund of my payment of Rs. 5,50,000. Failure to comply will leave me no choice but to pursue legal action to recover my funds. How should I proceed legally?

Send a legal notice to the franchisor demanding a refund of Rs. 5,50,000 due to breach of agreement. If they fail to respond, file a consumer complaint in the Consumer Forum or approach the civil court with all evidence. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
