Can I file both bounced cheque cases in one thana?
Sir, I received two cheques from a man as repayment for a ₹10 lakh loan—each cheque for ₹5 lakh. Both cheques bounced, one from Salempur bank and the other from Baitalpur bank. Since both banks fall under different police station areas but are in the same district (Deoria), can I file a complaint for both cheques at the same police station?

Though the cheques are drawn on 2 different banks, the provisions of the criminal procedural laws in India allows the investigation of offences committed partly in one place and partly in another, by the police.
