Can I take legal action against fraud by investment agent?

My mother was a teacher. A male teacher in the same school, who was an agent of Adarsh Co-operative Credit Society (now exposed as fraud), convinced us to invest ₹72,000. He gave personal assurance. Later, he revealed the fraud but refused to return the money. Can we take legal action or send him a notice?

You can send a legal notice to the agent for fraud and cheating. If he misled you knowingly, he can be held liable even if the society is fraudulent. File a police complaint with all investment proofs. Also, join other victims (if any) and file a group FIR or a case in consumer court.
