Cheque bounce case pending, no notice received—what should I do?

A cheque bounce case has been filed against me by a company in the Metropolitan Court, Ahmedabad, which was registered in 2020. The next hearing is on 24 August 2023, but I have never attended court nor received any legal notice. What should I do now?

You should immediately consult a local criminal lawyer and apply for bail or exemption from appearance. Non-appearance may lead to a warrant. Even if you didn't receive notice, court records show the case is active. Better to act now than face arrest or penalties. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
