How to recover unpaid loan from India while abroad?

I am a U.S. citizen and loaned money to someone in India. He promised to repay but never did. The money was sent through Western Union, and I have proof of the transactions and text messages. The amount is over $2,000 USD. I haven’t received anything back. I want to take legal action—what should I do?

You can send a legal notice to the borrower in India demanding repayment. If ignored, file a civil suit for recovery in an Indian court. Your Western Union proof and texts are valid evidence. A lawyer in India can represent you and handle everything, even while you stay in the USA. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
