Is son liable for father’s unpaid tax and loan after gift?

Suppose a father has an outstanding income tax liability and bank loans of ₹50 lakhs and fails to repay them. If his son receives properties from him as a "gift" (not through inheritance or will), will the son be liable to pay these outstanding dues
