Can I be jailed for sharing private photos mistakenly?

My question is: I recently received a birthday gift from my ex-girlfriend, which included a flier and some chocolates. She also sent me a private image of myself. While discussing this with one of my female friends, I shared both the pictures with her. Now she is threatening to file an FIR against me for this. What can I do? I don’t want to go to jail. Please help.

Sharing someone's private photo without permission can lead to legal trouble. Stop sharing immediately, delete everything, and apologize to the person if possible. If you are being blackmailed, consult a lawyer. You may be protected if there was no bad intention, but it’s important to act fast and seek legal advice.
