Can I claim compensation for delayed transfer?

I initiated a transfer of funds from a UK account to an India account via the Vance app. They claim in their FAQ section that transfers are real-time. However, after initiating the transfer, they asked me to wait for 60 minutes and then another 24 hours. I contacted their customer service, and while they initially responded, they stopped replying once I asked targeted questions. I am now worried this delay could impact my credit history in India, as I have upcoming EMIs. If they continue holding my funds, can I fight them for false advertising since they initially claimed real-time transfers, and can I claim compensation for the delay?

If the transfer was advertised as real-time and they delayed it, you could file a complaint with the relevant consumer protection authority for false advertising. You may also consider claiming compensation for the financial inconvenience caused, especially if it impacts your credit or financial commitments. A lawyer can guide you in this case.
