Can I apply for government exams after a public drinking conviction?

I was convicted in a public drinking case under Section 68(1)B of the P.P. Act and Section 510 of the IPC. I was released on probation by furnishing a bond of Rs. 10,000/- with one surety of like amount. Can I apply for government exams (SSC and Banking) and get selected without any issues due to my conviction?

Being convicted in a public drinking case may not prevent you from applying for government exams like SSC or Banking. However, some government exams may have a specific eligibility clause regarding criminal convictions. You should review the eligibility criteria for the exams you're interested in and consult a legal expert to ensure that your conviction does not disqualify you from applying.
