How to protect Canadian mother and bail arrested father?

I have two concerns. My parents were named in a corruption FIR. My mother is a Canadian citizen living in Canada for the past 13 years and has no connection to the case. My father was recently arrested in India. How can I protect my mother from legal trouble in India, and how can we apply for bail for my father?

Your mother, being a Canadian resident uninvolved in the case, can file for quashing of FIR under section 528 of Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita in the High Court, citing no role or evidence. For your father’s bail, file a regular bail application in the trial court with legal support and evidence of cooperation. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
