What legal action can I take against the person who kicked me?

I recently met with a road accident while riding my bike on NH, wearing a helmet, shoes, and carrying proper documents. My bike was traveling at 70 km/h when another person, riding in the same direction, suddenly crossed the road from left to right without looking. As a result, I suffered a severe injury—my hand and shoulder were broken, and I had many scratches. In addition, an unknown person, possibly a local, kicked me on the shoulder from behind. I believe this is unethical. What legal action can I take against this person? Thank you in advance.
