Is my regularization valid if I briefly left office?

I was regularized in a government office in April 2015 after working on contract for 8 years. My HOD approved the regularization in my noting file, but final orders were delayed due to red tape. I briefly joined the High Court Chandigarh, then returned with formal orders. Now someone claims my appointment was illegal. There are no clear rules for relieving contract staff. What can I do?

Since there was a formal order confirming your regularization before the complaint, and no clear rules about contract staff shifting offices, your appointment can be defended legally. Collect all official documents. You can file a reply to the complaint and approach the Administrative Tribunal if action is taken against you.
