Do I mention university punishment in government exam forms?

In 2024, I was involved in an Unfair Means Case (UMC) during one of my university exams. As per the official university order, my paper in the subject was cancelled, I am allowed to appear in the supplementary examinations in June/July 2025, I have been placed on academic probation for one year, and my parents have been informed. In the attestation form for a government exam, there is a question asking whether I have ever been debarred or rusticated by any educational institution. What should I write in response?

Since you were not rusticated or debarred, but only placed on probation and your paper was canceled, you should mention it honestly in the form. Say that you were involved in a UMC case, were allowed to continue, and are eligible for exams. Hiding facts may create problems later.
