How can unmarried sister claim pension without father's service book?

How can my unmarried sister apply for family pension, as our mother passed away 15 months ago and we do not have the service book of our late father, but only a copy of the PPO? Can a copy of the service book be obtained from the pension office? Can she submit the application without the service book? Is it possible to obtain the service book through an RTI application?

Your sister can apply for a family pension using the PPO and other documents. If the service book is missing, she can request a copy from your father's last office or file an RTI. Yes, the application can be submitted without it, but getting the service book helps avoid delays. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
