Is mother’s property share included in my EWS calculation?
After my father’s death, the property was divided into four parts among my mother and three brothers (including me). I want to know whether my mother’s share will be counted while applying for EWS, or only my share will be considered, or will 1/3rd of my mother’s share also be counted with mine?
For EWS eligibility, only your individual income and share of property is considered, not the entire family property. Your mother’s share is counted separately in her name. While applying, you need to show your own property share and income, not your mother’s. However, local authorities may ask for family details, so disclose correctly to avoid issues.
