Why is daughter’s pension delayed due to family house?

I applied for the pension of my unmarried daughter. Although I have submitted all the required documents, the department is delaying the processing of the pension. I recently learned that the delay may be due to a house that was purchased by her father through a loan. The house has not been divided among the heirs yet, and the entire family is living in it. The family includes an elder sister, an elder brother, and an unmarried sister.

The department cannot reject your daughter’s pension just because of a family house. Send a legal notice demanding a clear reason for the delay. Also, file an RTI to get the file status. If there is no response, you can file a petition in court or service tribunal to get the pension approved. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
