I am the second wife of my husband, his first wife has two childrens. His first wife tortures me. Is there any legal possibility that I can leave with my husband legally.
Being a second wife in a marriage while the first marriage still exists is not legally recognized in India under Section 82(1) of the BNS. The best legal recourse would be to file for divorce citing cruelty and seek maintenance under Section 125 of CrPC, regardless of the marriage's legal status.
